Pace Women's Soccer Shuts Down Stonehill, 2-0

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Fueled by senior Emma Sinanan (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East)'s team-leading fourth goal of the season, the Pace University women's soccer team registered a 2-0 victory over Stonehill College on Saturday. The win moves the Blue and Gold to 3-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference this season.

Sinanan one-timed a perfectly struck corner by classmate Drew Ribadeneyra (Maybrook, NY/Valley Central) in the ninth minute of the contest. Sinanan now has 11 career tallies while Ribadeneyra ups her assists total to 10.

Pace padded its lead near the end of the first half. Aggressive play up front forced a Skyhawks' own goal in the 41st minute. Freshman Lynzee Kelty (Narrowsburg, NY/Eldred)'s press defense at the top of the formation compelled the Stonehill mistake.

Seniors Hayley Pascoal (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township) and Aisha Chauhan (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) combined for six saves in net to record the team's third shutout of the season. Pascoal earned the decision, shifting her record to 3-2 this season.
