PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – With a new fall season just days away, the Pace University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that
79 student-athletes earned D2 Athletic Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Awards for the 2016-17 school year.
The Blue and Gold had student-athletes from all 14 of its teams earn recognition, including a department-best 11 represented from the women's soccer team.
All in all, a total of 10,644 student-athletes from 183 institutions earned 2016-17 Academic Achievement Awards. The Northeast-10 Conference ranked second amongst all conferences with 941 student-athletes on the list.
To qualify for the D2 ADA academic awards, a student-athlete must have had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.

About Pace University Athletics
Pace University is an NCAA Division II member of the Northeast-10 Conference that sponsors 14 intercollegiate sports. In each of the last two semesters, 72 percent of Pace student-athletes achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, and nine teams have been honored with the NE10 Team Excellence Award since 2011. Pace teams have made 13 NCAA appearances since 2011. In 2015-16, the department unveiled a multi-million dollar facility upgrade that includes two new turf fields. In addition, the new state-of-the-art 14,010 square foot Ianniello Field House recently opened with new locker rooms, new strength and conditioning facilities and a sports medicine component.
