WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior
Abby Haimson (Montville, NJ/Montville) tallied her 100th career goal in just her 30th game, and sophomore
Courtney Pabst (East Patchogue, NY/Bellport) tied program's single-game points record with eight, as the No. 13 Pace University women's lacrosse team cruised to an 18-5 victory over Assumption College on Saturday in Northeast-10 Conference action at the Multi-Sport Stadium.
MILESTONE AFTERNOON
- Haimson became the second student-athlete in Pace women's lacrosse history to reach 100 career goals, doing so in just 30 games as a Setter, after scoring five times in Saturday's win.
- Pabst scored three times and dished out five assists for a total of eight points, becoming the third Setter in three games to reach this mark. Junior
Casey Gelderman (Farmingville, NY/Sachem High School East) did so last Saturday against Saint Anselm College, and then Haimson matched that total on Wednesday at Southern Connecticut State University.
FIRST HALF
- The Setters needed just 15:30 to run out to a 10-goal lead in Saturday's win.
- Pabst, Haimson and junior
Emily Ankabrandt (Scotia, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) each scored twice in this stretch, and then Gelderman capped off the run with three straight goals.
- Assumption's Callie Dwyer got the Greyhounds on the board at the 13:09 mark, but sophomore
Juliana Marcolini (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) scored her second of the day, followed by two more for Haimson to leave the Setters up, 13-1, heading into the break.
SECOND HALF
- Junior
Stephanie Chadnick (Brewster, NY/Brewster) scored 50 seconds into the second half to give Pace a 13-goal lead.
- Amanda Burns netted one for the Greyhounds three minutes later, but Gelderman, Pabst and Haimson accounted for the next three goals to make it a 17-2 game.
- Burns scored twice in a row for Assumption, and then Caitlin Graves made it a three-goal run for the home team to bring the Greyhounds back within 12.
- Freshman
Mary Kate Lonegan (Brewster, NY/Brewster) added the final touch with 55 seconds left to cap off the 18-5 win.

Alissa Silvestri (Congers, NY/Clarkstown North) stopped five shots and allowed just two goals to pick up her 10th win of the year.

- Pabst led all players with eight points on five assists and three goals. She also picked up two ground balls and two draw controls, and caused a pair of turnovers.
- Haimson scored five times to reach her milestone 100th goal. She also grabbed a ground ball and caused a turnover.
- Gelderman netted four goals, scooped up six ground balls, grabbed four draw controls and caused two turnovers.
- Ankabrandt and Marcolini each scored twice, while Chadnick picked up two points on a goal and an assist.
