PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – A day after the Setters picked up both of the NE10's Rookie of the Week awards, freshman
Leigha Kosakowski (Selkirk, NY/Bethlehem Central) and junior
Andresious Cyprianos (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe/Christian Brothers College) of the Pace swimming and diving teams have been selected as Collegeswimming.com's Swimmers of the Week for the Northeast-10 Conference.
Kosakowski was part of four wins for the Blue and Gold, including a pair of individual triumphs. Kosakowski notched top times in both the 100-breast (1:09.29) and the 100-free (56.25). Kosakowski's mark in the 100-breast currently ranks third in the NE10. She was also a member of victorious relay squads in the 200-medley (1:53.55) and 400-free (3:45.47).
Cyprianos also chipped in two relay and two individual wins against the Panthers. In addition to touching first in both the 100 (54.68) and 200-back (2:00.70), he was also a part of winning 200-medley (1:40.47) and 400-free relays (3:19.83).
Kosakowski, Cyprianos and the rest of the Setters will look to keep the momentum rolling on Friday against Southern Connecticut State. Pace and the Owls are set for a 5 p.m. start from New Haven.
