Following a thrilling five-set victory over Stonehill College on Saturday, the Setters punched a ticket to their second consecutive Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The win pushed Pace's final regular season record to 16-16 with an 8-6 mark in the conference.

After falling to Bentley University on Friday in three sets, Pace needed a victory against Stonehill to earn a playoff berth, resulting in the Setters' longest match of the season. Pace played to five sets for the first time all year, recording season-highs in points (73), digs (89), and assists (50).

The offensive trio of Sydney Lecker (Littleton, CO/Chatfield), Colette Clarke (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck), and Claudia Fontanet (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) combined for 36 kills to lead the attack. Fontanet's 11 kills in the regular season-finale brings her total for the year to a team-leading 262. Lecker's 13 kills against Stonehill pushes her total for the season to 244. The offensive leaders also made a defensive impact, as Fontanet and Lecker added 38 digs for Pace en route to their eleventh and seventh double-doubles this season, respectively.

Samantha Nidini (Houston, TX/Clearlake) compiled 56 assists over the weekend, capped off with a season-high 36 against Stonehill. The sophomore has now posted double-digit assists for six consecutive matches, eclipsing 20 in four of them. The weekend performance brings Nidini's season assist total to 583, which leads the Setters this year and ranks 11th in the conference.

Drawing the eight-seed for the conference tournament, the Setters will square off with top-seeded New Haven for the second time this season in the opening round. The Chargers enter the postseason on a 16-match winning streak, having not lost since Sept. 16. The Blue and Gold defeated the No. 1 seed, Le Moyne, in the first round of last year's NE10 Tournament.

Pace Women's Basketball vs Adelphi University | Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. | Live Stats | Video
Coming off a 2-0 start to the season in the ECC/NE10 Challenge over the weekend, the Setters will play their first game at the Goldstein Fitness Center this season against Adelphi University on Wednesday. A pair of nine-point wins against NYIT on Saturday and LIU Post on Sunday got the Blue and Gold season started in the right direction, and marked the third straight year that Pace has swept both matches in the ECC/NE10 Challenge.

Junior Alexandra Monteleone (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane), the NE10 Player of the Week, led the way offensively over the weekend with 47 points. Sophomore Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, NY/Commack) scored a team-leading 24 points against LIU Post on Sunday. Freshman Lauren Schetter (Fishkill, NY/Beacon High School) made a strong impression to begin her collegiate career, recording a double-double in the season opener against NYIT with 11 points and 11 rebounds. She leads the team in rebounds with 16.

Defensively, DelliSanti recorded five steals, while four Setters registered two blocks each. Monteleone, DelliSanti, Gabriella Rubin (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic), and Naya Rivera (Pomona, NY/North Rockland) each deflected multiple shots, placing the Setters second in the conference with 5.5 blocks per game.  As a team, the Setters shot 44 percent from the field over the weekend. Pace leads the NE10 in free throw percentage (81 percent) after going 34-for-42 in the first two games.

Adelphi comes into play 1-1 to start the season following their games in the ECC/NE10 Challenge. The Panthers defeated LIU Post on Saturday before falling to NYIT on Sunday. Both of Adelphi's games were decided by a single point, averaging 56.5 points over the weekend. Pace was last victorious against Adelphi in 2016, but have dropped the last three contests against the Panthers.

Six members of the Blue and Gold reached double digit points over the weekend, with freshman Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, NY/Long Island Lutheran) leading the team with 40. Jacobs also leads the team with 10 assists to kick off the year.

Luke McLaughlin (Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee) and Greg Poleon (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln / Coffeyville CC) each posted their first double-doubles as Setters against Bridgeport on Saturday. The junior classmates lead Pace in rebounds with 18 and 17, respectively. Pace also tallied seven blocks, with Poleon leading the team with three.

Adelphi went 1-1 in the Conference Crossover, opening the season with a victory over Post before falling to Bridgeport on Sunday. The Panthers have averaged 99.5 points per game to begin the season.
