Pace Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 at Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass. - In their third-consecutive game decided by a single goal, the Pace University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest at Bentley University on Tuesday. The Setters fall to 6-4-1 inside the Northeast-10 Conference this season.

A scoreless match heading into the second half, the Falcons were able to get on the board in the 72nd minute with a goal from Peyton Kent. The Setters were able to get three shots off in the closing minutes after surrendering the goal and outshot the Falcons, 13-7 (6-3 shots on goal), for the day, but were unable to beat Bentley netminder Kat Hassapis.

Junior Victoria Kealy (Nutley, NJ/Nutley), looking to replicate her late-game heroics against Franklin Pierce on Saturday, was able to get a shot on net with under three minutes to play, but Hassapis made her fifth save of the day to hold the Blue and Gold scoreless. The Setters had another opportunity in the final minute, but senior Ariel Almodovar (West Orange, NJ/West Orange)'s shot was blocked before reaching the net.

Kealy led the Setters in shots with four, including two on net. Freshman Mackenzie Kurek (Goshen, NY/Goshen Central) also registered two shots on goal.

Pascoal tallied a a pair of saves in the loss to hold the deficit at one. She now has a .875 save percentage for the season, good for second-best in the conference.

The Setters return home on Friday to host Assumption College at 7 p.m. as part of Pace University's Homecoming Weekend.
