PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Junior
Meghan Haslett (Monroe, NY/Washingtonville) blasted in her first goal of the season in the 89th minute, propelling the Pace University women's soccer team to a comeback victory over Georgian Court University on Tuesday in the Setters' home opener at Pace Stadium.
HASLETT'S HEROICS
- - Georgian Court netted the first goal of the game a little over five minutes into the second half to take a 1-0 lead.
- - Sophomore Victoria Kealy (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) netted her first goal as Setter off of her own rebound in the 70th minute to tie the game.
- - Haslett came up huge with the game-winning goal at the 1:53 mark in regulation and the Setters' overcame the Lions for a 2-1 victory. She beat a defender toward the top-right corner of the box, and fired over the keeper and into the left side of the net for the score.
PACE LEADERS
- - Kealy scored the first goal of her Pace career.
- - Haslett's game-winner was her first goal on the season.
- - Junior goalkeeper Aisha Chauhan (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) goes to 3-0 with four saves in the win.
