SPARKILL, N.Y. – Sophomore
Halley Rose (Dauphin, PA/Central Dauphin) had a huge game on Tuesday, totaling five points on a pair of goals and an assist to lift the Pace University field hockey team to a 4-0 shutout victory over Saint Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) in non-conference action.
ROSE TO THE OCCASION

Halley Rose (Dauphin, PA/Central Dauphin) was involved in three of Pace's four goals on Tuesday, including the game-winning goal in just the seventh minute of the game.
- After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, sophomore
Samantha Gray (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) doubled the lead in the 41st minute off an assist from sophomore
Paige Predmore (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Township) after a penalty corner.
- Predmore then scored her first career goal off a feed from Rose in the 53rd minute to make it a 3-0 lead for the Setters.
- Rose netted her second of the game and third of the season in the 61st minute with an assist from freshman
Madison McGowan (New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) to cap off her five-point day.
PACE LEADERS
- Rose tallied two goals and an assist for five points.
- Gray netted a goal, and fellow sophomore
Paige Predmore (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Township) fired in her first goal as a Setter, as well as an assist for a three-point game.
- McGowan assisted Rose for the last goal of the game.
- Junior goalkeeper
Lesly Sanchez Alvarez (Stamford, CT/Stamford) did not allow a goal in 57:41 between the pipes, making one save.
SPARTAN STATS
- Morgan Lynd attempted two shots, putting one on target.
- Goalkeeper Jessica Simmons made an impressive 11 saves, but falls to 1-4 with the loss.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Setters outshot STAC, 17-4, in the game, 15 of which were shots on goal.
- Pace's offensive aggressiveness was rewarded as they took 16 penalty corners to the Spartans two.

SETTERS BACK TO NE-10 PLAY
- Pace travels to Waltham, Mass. on to play Bentley University in an NE-10 contest at 1 p.m.
- Pace will host the visiting Merrimack College on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Peter X. Finnerty Field. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
