Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

No. 6 Pace Soccer Rolls Past No. 7 Le Moyne to Advance to First NE-10 Championship Game

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University women's soccer team picked the best time of the year to play its best soccer, as the sixth-seeded Setters rolled to a 3-0 victory over No. 7 Le Moyne College in Friday evening's Northeast-10 Conference Championship Semifinal matchup at Pace Stadium. The Setters now advance to Sunday's NE-10 Championship game against No. 4 Stonehill College at Skyhawk Field in Easton, Mass. After winning the program's first NE-10 Tournament game on Tuesday, the Setters now move on to the finals for the first time ever.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Shannon Glenn (New Hampton, NY/Goshen) headed a beautiful cross along the goal line from senior Delany Williams (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) past the keeper to give Pace an early 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. The goal was Glenn's first career score.
- The Setters held the one-goal lead until the 70th minute when sophomore Victoria Kealy (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) sent a corner kick right to senior Ashley Kenny (Chester, NY/Washingtonville), who headed it into the back of the net to double the lead late in the game.
- Senior Alyssa Zeoli (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay East Fishkill) put one more on the board for the Setters in the 87th minute. She was set up on a long cross from sophomore Robyn Seward (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay East Fishkill), leading Zeoli on a breakaway. Her shot was tipped by the keeper, but managed to stay on target and cross the line to make it a 3-0 lead in the final minutes for the Setters.

RECORD-TYING EVENING
- Zeoli's late goal marked the 27th of her storied career at Pace, tying the program's all-time record set by former teammate Jillian Ferro.
- With their 12th win of the season, the Setters match their highest win total in any season, which was set back in 2001 when they went 12-11 overall.
- With the team's ninth shutout of the season, the Setters tie a program record, which was set just last year.

PACE LEADERS
- Glenn's first goal of the year will go down in history, as it proved to be the game-winning goal that sent Pace into the Championship Game.
- Kenny scored her second of the year in the second half.
- Zeoli's record-tying goal was also her team-leading eighth of the season.
- Williams, Kealy and Seward each tallied an assist in the semifinal win.
- Junior goalkeeper Hayley Pascoal (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township) got the start, and made four stops in the first half to earn the win and improve to 6-2. She and junior goalkeeper Aisha Chauhan (Carteret, NJ/Carteret), who made four saves of her own after taking over for the second half, combined for the Setters' ninth shutout of the year.

STONEHILL UPSETS TOP-SEEDED ADELPHI TO ADVANCE TO CHAMPIONSHIP
- No. 4-seed Stonehill upset the conference's top seed, and nationally-ranked No. 12 Adelphi University, 1-0, to claim hosting duties for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship finals.
-Freshman Nicole Geraghty scored the only goal of the game in the 32nd minute to lift the Skyhawks to victory on the road.

FINALS ON SUNDAY AT STONEHILL
- The Setters will travel to Stonehill on Sunday, Nov. 6, for their first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Championship Game against the fourth-seeded Skyhawks. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
