SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Pace University women's basketball team fell to Le Moyne College by a score of 63-40 on Saturday afternoon in the Setters' Northeast-10 Conference opener at Ted Grant Court.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1ST QUARTER
- Le Moyne came out strong in the first quarter, taking a 12-3 lead against the Setters after a fast-break layup taken by McKayla Roberts at the 3:29 minute mark.
- The Setters went on a 6-0 run to close out the first, cutting the deficit to 12-9 heading into the second frame.
2ND QUARTER
- The Dolphins started the second quarter aggressively, pushing their lead to 26-9 by the 3:43 mark.
- Pace then went on a 9-3 run, capped off with a finish in the paint by freshman
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, NY/Commack), closing the half trailing 30-18.
HALFTIME STATS
- Sophomore
Stefanie Svoboda (Ossining, NY/Ossining) led the Setters at the half with five points and three rebounds.
- Roberts went to the locker room at halftime with 13 points to lead Le Moyne.
3RD QUARTER
- Junior
Gabriella Rubin (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) finished a tough layup through contact, and drained the free throw at the 7:30 mark to cut the Dolphin lead to 31-22.
- After a mid-range jumper from senior
Kirsten Dodge (Fabius, NY/Fabius-Pompey), Rubin connected on a three to cut it to 38-26 in favor of Le Moyne.
- The Dolphins closed out the third frame on a 10-5 run and the Setters went into the fourth quarter with a 48-31 deficit.
4TH QUARTER
- Le Moyne's strong played continued through the last quarter, as the Dolphins outscored the Setters, 15-9, in the final frame for a 63-40 win.
SETTER STATS
- Rubin led the Setters with 12 points and tied with DelliSanti for a team-best five rebounds.
- Svoboda finished with eight points and three rebounds.
DOLPHIN LEADERS
- Roberts finished with a game-best 28 points and added four assists, three rebounds and a steal.
- Joanna Dobrovosky finished with 10 points, six rebounds and a game-high three blocks.
- Corinne Poitevien finished with nine rebounds and Nicole Riddick collected six steals, both team bests.

WHAT'S NEXT?
- The Setters invite NE-10 opponent the College of Saint Rose to the Goldstein Fitness Center on Tuesday, Nov. 22 for a 5:30 p.m. home game in Pleasantville, N.Y.
- Pace then hosts non-conference foe Post University on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m.
