Zeoli and Williams Highlight Senior Day in Pace Women’s Soccer’s Victory over New Haven

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Seniors Alyssa Zeoli (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay East Fishkill) and Delany Williams (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) scored all three goals for the Pace University women's soccer team in a 3-0 victory over the University of New Haven at Pace Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup.

SETTER SENIORS
- The Setters celebrated Senior Day prior to the start of Saturday's game. Seniors Zeoli, Williams, Teresa Fotino (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central), Natalie Marrone (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) and Ashley Kenny (Chester, NY/Washingtonville) were honored for all of their contributions to the women's soccer team over their tenures at Pace.
- Zeoli scored twice in Saturday's shutout victory over the Chargers for her second two-goal game of the season.
- Williams scored Pace's second goal to give Pace even more reason to celebrate the seniors on Saturday.

PASCOAL BLANKS ANOTHER
- Junior goalkeeper Hayley Pascoal (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township), making just her fifth start, earned her fourth victory and fourth shutout with three saves on Saturday.
- Pascoal has only allowed goals in one appearance this season, and improves to 4-1 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 23rd minute, sophomore Victoria Kealy (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) chased down a long pass to the far-left corner of the field.
- Kealy sent a hard cross into the box where Zeoli managed to tip it past the keeper and into the net to get her first goal of the game and put the Setters on top, 1-0.
- Late in the game, Williams was led into a one-on-one opportunity with the keeper.
- Her first shot was saved, but the ball caromed right back to her, allowing her to capitalize on the extra opportunity and double Pace's lead to 2-0 in the 83rd minute.
- In the final minutes, junior Meghan Haslett (Monroe, NY/Washingtonville) crossed one from the far-right wing into the box, where Zeoli beat a defender and one-timed the ball right over the keeper's head and into the net for her second of the game with just 59 seconds left.

PACE LEADERS
- Zeoli was aggressive Saturday afternoon, trying nine shots, putting six of them on target, and scoring twice to bring her season total to a team-high seven goals.
- Williams took three shots, all of which were on goal, and netted one for her fourth of the year.
- Kealy and Haslett each registered an assist in the win.
