PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University women's volleyball closed out the weekend with a 3-0 loss to The College of Saint Rose on the Road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1
- The Golden Knights scored the first two points of the game before a kill by
Claudia Fontanet (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) got the Setters on the board.
- A kill by
Sydney Lecker (Littleton, CO/Chatfield) set up a 4-0 run by Pace to bring the score within three, 16-13.
- Saint Rose regained momentum and took the first set, 25-17.
SET 2
- Saint Rose got on the board first with a kill followed by an attacking error on Pace.
- The Setters scored the next three points before the Golden Knights put up another point.
- Both teams went back and forth for most of the set before Saint Rose took the second set 25-20
SET 3
- Saint Rose took an early 3-0 lead over the Setters to begin what would be the final set.
- A couple of runs by the Golden Knights kept them in the lead and helped them claim the set, 25-18.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Junior
Sydney Lecker (Littleton, CO/Chatfield) led the Setters with seven kills. She also added six digs.
- Sophomore
Claudia Fontanet (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) finished with three kills and five digs.

Kathleen Benson (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) had a team-high four blocks for the Setters.
- Freshman
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, NY/St. Anthony's) contributed a team-high 13 digs and an assist.
- Freshman
Samantha Nidini (Houston, TX/Clearlake) dished out 10 assists, contributed four digs.
