BRIARCLIFF, NY-
Kaitlynn Nelson and
Caitlin McCann tossed complete games as the Setters swept a doubleheader against the Saint Rose Golden Knights in Northeast-10 Southwest Division action. The Setters improve to 13-6 overall and 5-3 in the NE-10 SW Division, while the Golden Knights fall to 8-12 and 3-4 in division play.

The Setters got on the board in the second as they scored their first run on a passed ball. In the third, Pace loaded the bases as
Surina Sandhu singled with two outs, while
Nikole Larm and
Ashley Lew drew walks.
Amanda Limon extended the Setters lead to 4-0 with a base clearing double to left center.

Pace added three runs in the fourth as
Tara Bernstein drew a lead-off walk and scored on a
Jeane Drury homerun. The Setters weren't finished in the inning as
Natalie Gellos tripled with one out and scored on a Larm single.

In the opener, Drury went 2-for-4, while Limon went 3-for-3. On the mound, Nelson improved to 4-3 on the season as she went the distance, allowing one run on six hits and struck out four.

In the nightcap, the Setters did their damage in the first two innings. Drury got the offense going with a leadoff single, while
Larissa Labs reached on an error. Both runners moved up a base on a sacrifice bunt and scored as Larm dropped in a single down the right field line to give the Setters a 2-0 lead.

Pace added a run on the second as
Jordan Chillinsky led off with a single and moved to third on a Drury single. Labs reached on an infield single to score Chillinsky. That was also that starter McCann needed as she allowed four hits in the game. McCann (5-2) struck out three in a complete game effort.

The Setters and the Golden Knights wrap up their three-game series on Friday, April 3 with a single game scheduled for 1 pm on the Briarcliff campus. Â
