PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University Athletics Department will host Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 21, at its Northeast-10 Conference-opening basketball doubleheader against Le Moyne College. The women's basketball team will tip things off at 1:30 p.m., followed by the men at 3:30 p.m. at the Goldstein Fitness Center on the Pleasantville Campus.
Active military and veterans will receive free admission and priority seating for both games with military identification, and will be recognized during the games. Fans in attendance will receive a military style Pace Athletics draw string bag and Pace Athletics dog tags while supplies last.
Barnes and Noble will also be selling the 2015 edition camouflage Pace cap in support of Operation Hat Trick (OHT). OHT generates awareness, support, and funding for the recovery of America's wounded warriors, both active service members and veterans. OHT pursues these goals through the sale of OHT branded merchandise. A portion of each sale is distributed to selected organizations that provide direct service to wounded warriors.
The Pace University men's basketball team is 1-2 entering Saturday's contest against Le Moyne after a highly competitive 62-61 loss to Wilmington University Wednesday evening. The women's squad is off to a 2-0 start after downing LIU Post, 71-56, on Friday, and New York Institute of Technology, 74-65, on Saturday in the NE-10/ECC Challenge.
