EAST STROUDSBURG, PA – Junior
Alyssa Marchino tallied 17 kills in a pair of matches as the Setters lost to West Chester and host East Stroudsburg on the final day of the ESU Tournament.
The Setters lost the first match of the day to West Chester 3-1 (25-23, 10-25, 22-25, 14-25). Freshman
Haley Kain led Pace with eight kills, while freshman
Sydney Lecker added seven kills. Junior
Macey Danker chipped in six kills and nine digs, while Marchino totaled six kills and 10 digs. Junior
Sara Anastasi contributed 17 assists and eight digs, while junior
Rebecca Italiano finished with 17 digs.
In the second match of the day, Pace fell to host East Stroudsburg 3-1 (19-25, 14-25, 25-23, 20-25). Marchino led the way for the Setters with 11 kills and 18 digs along with two blocks.
Collette Clarke added five kills, while Anastasi recorded 14 assists and eight digs. Danker finished with four kills and 10 digs, while Italiano posted 18 digs.
The Setters return to action on Saturday, September 20 as they host Holy Family at 12 pm at the Goldstein Fitness Center.
