BROOKVILLE, NY- The Setters traveled to LIU Post's campus in Brookville, NY as the women's cross country team finished in tenth place out of 16 schools in the LIU Post Invitational on Saturday morning.
The women were led by junior
Sara DiGiovanna who placed 22nd out of 128 runners in the 5k with a time of 19:50.0. Junior
Mary O'Shea also finished in the top half of the pack placing 43rd with a time of 20:43.2. Freshman
Marissa Cotroneo put together a nice race as well with a time of 21:04.0, placing 50th in the field.
On the men's side, freshman
Gabriel Navarro put together the best race in the 8k with a time of 29:26.7, good enough for 64th place out of 120 runners. Freshman
Daniel Citardi was the second Setter to cross the finish line in 75th place with a time of 30:23.1.
The Setters return to action on October 4 where they will head to Bethlehem, PA to compete in the Paul Short Invitation.
