GARDEN CITY, NY – Freshman Kirsten Dodge (Fabius, NY/Fabius-Pompey) (Fabius, NY/Fabius-Pompey) reached double figures in scoring for the third time in the last four games, but the Pace University women's basketball team was upended by Northeast-10 Conference foe Adelphi 87-50 on Saturday afternoon.
Dodge netted 13 in the game, shooting 6-for-11 from the floor and added two blocks. Junior Margo Hackett (Pawling, NY/Pawling) (Pawling, NY/Pawling) scored 11 in the contest, shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Fellow junior Shanice Maynard chipped in with eight points.
Adelphi (20-5, 14-5 NE-10) jumped out to an early lead, opening up a 23-4 advantage with 12:15 to go in the first half. The Setters (6-19, 5-14 NE-10) responded and played evenly with the Panthers through the remainder of the first half with Dodge scoring seven of her points by intermission.
Pace wraps up their season on Tuesday when they will host Le Moyne at 5:30 pm.
