GARDEN CITY, NY- Kyle Pearson posted a double-double but the Pace men's basketball team fell to the Adelphi Panthers 68-55 in Northeast-10 Conference action.

The Setters fall to 2-6 overall and 0-4 in the NE-10, while the Panthers improve to 3-4, 1-3 in conference play.

Pace led 5-3 behind an early Shelton Mickell triple in the first three minutes of action. The Panthers rallied to take a 14-11 lead but Mickell bucket at 13:03 to keep the Setters to within a point. Adelphi extended their lead and led by double digits at the break.

The Setters cut into their halftime deficit in the second half as Pearson connected on four second half triples while Mike Demello added one from downtown. Pace pulled to within 11 points at 59-48 on a Mickell fast break lay-up at 4:47 mark but could not get any closer down the stretch.

For the Setters, Pearson led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 4-for-8 from downtown. Pearson added four assists and two steals, while Mickell chipped in 17 points and four assists. Demello totaled nine points and three boards.  

The Setters host the Le Moyne Dolphins on Saturday, December 6 at 3:30 pm at the Goldstein Fitness Center.
