NORTH ANDOVER, MA –
Macey Danker had a season-high four service aces and
Brittani Muller recorded five blocks, but the Pace University volleyball team was upended by the Merrimack Warriors 3-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match by scores of 25-16, 25-23, and 25-19 on Friday night.
After dropping the first set, Pace (4-22, 1-12 NE-10) found itself locked in a tight battle in the second. Tied 20-20, the Setters would take a one-point edge on a kill by Danker. The Warriors (16-7, 8-5 NE-10) scored the next point to tie it, but Pace came right back as this time
Rebecca Italiano provided the kill to put the Setters back on top. After Merrimack took a 23-22 lead, Pace would tie things at 23-23 before the Warriors claimed the final two points to win the set.
Pace will close out their season tomorrow when they will square off against Saint Anselm in Goffstown, NH. The match is set to get underway at noon.
