PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace University women's basketball team opened their Northeast-10 Conference schedule on Wednesday night as the Setters fell to the Saint Rose Golden Knights 54-26.
For the second time this season,
Gabriella Rubin led the way for Pace (0-3, 0-1 NE-10) with 10 points.
Margo Hackett netted seven points and hit the 122nd three-pointer of her career, moving the senior into sole possession of fifth place all-time for the Setters.
After a rough start saw Pace fall behind 12-0, the Setters made some noise midway through the first half as a layup by
Rachel Dortch and a jumper coupled with a three by Hackett cut the Saint Rose (2-1, 1-0 NE-10) lead to 15-7 at the 10:03 mark of the first half. The Golden Knights would close the frame on a 17-7 run, however to take a solid lead into the lockerroom.
Pace remains home for their next game when they take on New Haven on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
