WORCESTER, MA- The Pace Football team fell to the Assumption Greyhounds 52-0 in Northeast-10 Conference action on Friday night.

The Setters defense played a strong first half as
Tyler Owens blocked a Greyhound field goal attempt on the first possession of the game. Pace also ended two other first half Assumption drives on a
David Grant interception and
Joe Roman forced a fumble on another drive.

The Greyhounds were able to find the end zone three time in the half to lead 21-0 at the break. Assumption added 31 points in the second half, including a defense fumble recovery return for a score.

For the Setters,
Kyle Johnson finished with six receptions for 53 yards, while
Corey Reeder totaled five catches for 28 yards.
David Grant, Jamir Gee and Roman each totaled seven tackles in the contest with
Grant adding an interception. Roman force a first half fumble and
Isaac Esson recovered that fumble for the Setters.

The Setters are back home next Saturday, October 18 as the host the Stonehill College Skyhawks in an NE-10 clash at Ann M. Dorner Middle School in Ossining, NY. Next weekend's game features the "Pace Goes Pink" initiative where the 2014 Pace Goes Pink t-shirts will be available for $5. All fans will also receive a Pace Goes Pink wristband with all proceeds going to the Northern Westchester Hospital Breast Institute.
