SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Pace softball team dropped a doubleheader to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College, falling in the opener 2-1 in eight innings and lost in the nightcap 5-0. The Setters fall to 14-22 overall and 6-14 in the Northeast-10 Southwest Division, while the Dolphins improve to 19-20 and 10-10 in division play.
In the opener, the Setters were held hitless until the seventh inning. The Dolphins got their first run in the four on a solo homerun by Fran Kiernan. Pace rallied in the seventh as Hana Wright (Hillsboro, OR/Valley Catholic) (Hillsboro, OR/Valley Catholic) drew a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Jeane Drury (Flanders, NJ/Morris Catholic High School) (Flanders, NJ/Morris Catholic) got on base on a bunt single to move Wright to third, while Natalie Gellos (Seattle, WA/Holy Names Academy) (Seattle, WA/Holy Names Academy) drove in the lone Pace run with a sacrifice fly.
In extra innings, Lana Buchbiner (San Francisco, CA/George Washington) doubled with two outs but the Setters could not push a run across. Le Moyne loaded the bases in their half of the inning and got a key hit to score the game-winning run.
On the mound, Chelsea Shea (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) (Babylon, NY/West Babylon) tossed a complete game, allowing two runs on eight hits and struck out four to fall to 8-11 on the season.
In the nightcap, the Setters were limited to six hits as Le Moyne scored a run in the fourth, three in the fifth and one in the sixth to take game two 5-0. Kelly Fisher (Castle Rock, CO/Douglas County) went the distance on the mound a she allowed five runs on eight hits and struck out four.  
The Setters wrap up the regular season as they conclude their four-game series against Le Moyne on Sunday, April 28 with a doubleheader starting at 12 pm.  Â
