NEW HAVEN, CT- Cameron Davis (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL/Providence) (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL/Providence) topped the century mark in receiving yards for a second straight week but the Setters fell to the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University 47-18 in Northeast-10 Conference action on Friday night. Pace falls to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the NE-10, while the Owls improve to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
The Setters struck first as quarterback Antwan Washington (Belle Glade, FL/Glades Central) (Belle Glade, FL/Glades Central) capped an 8-play, 60-yard drive with a 28-yard touchdown strike to Davis for a 6-0 lead.
Southern Connecticut answered behind two rushing touchdowns by John Moscatel to put the Owls in the lead at 14-6 early in the second quarter. Pace answered on their ensuing possession as Washington hit Tunde Fatiregun (Little Ferry, NJ/Ridgefield Park) (Little Ferry, NJ/Ridgefield Park) for a four-yard touchdown to pull the Setters to within two points at 14-12.
The Owls added a late touchdown from quarterback Jacob Jablonski to Gary Williams as Southern Connecticut took a 20-12 lead into the break. Southern Connecticut scored on the opening drive of the second half as the Jablonski to Williams tandem extended to the Owls lead. Moscatel added two more short touchdown runs for Southern Connecticut in the second half. The Setters added a score in the fourth quarter as Delaney Wallace (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) scored on two yards out for Pace.
For Pace, Davis hauled in nine receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown, while Brian Beeker (Spring Hill, FL/Springstead) (Spring Hill, FL/Springstead) finished with eight catches for 65 yards. Washington finished with 233 passing yards on 24-for-42 passing and a pair of touchdowns, while adding 40 rushing yards. Wallace totaled 70 yards on the ground on 16 carries and one touchdown. On defense, Joseph Roman (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph by the Sea) (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph By The Sea) led the Setters with eight solo tackles, finishing with nine for the game. Addison Casey (Eliot, ME/Marshwood) (Eliot, ME/Marshwood) added seven total tackles and one sack.  
The Setters returns home on next Saturday, October 12 as Pace hosts the Falcons of Bentley University in an NE-10 match-up at Pace Field at 1 pm.
