BROOKVILLE, N.Y.- The Setters lost on the final day of the LIU Post Tournament to Caldwell College 3-2 (25-20, 28-30, 17-25, 25-22, 15-11). Pace falls to 5-8 overall, while the Cougars improve to 6-6 on the season.
Megan Kurz (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Henry) (San Diego, CA/Patrick Henry) led the Setters with 19 kills along with eight digs, while Tamilee Webb (Hartsdale, NY/Ardsley) (Hartsdale, NY/Ardsley) totaled 16 kills and three total blocks. Brooke Speyerer (Winter Haven, FL/Lake Region) (Winter Haven, FL/Lake Region) recorded 49 assists along with six kills and 11 digs, while Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) totaled 11 kills and 14 digs. Elyse Rowland (Antioch, CA/Deer Valley) (Antioch, CA/Deer Valley) led the team with 30 digs for the Setters. Sara Atai (Setauket, NY/Ward Melville) (Setauket, NY/Ward Melville) added nine kills and four blocks, while Gabrielle Harris (Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Friends) netted six kills and five blocks.
The Setters return to action as they will host the Pace University Tournament on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22. On Friday, Pace will face St. Mary's (TX) at 3:30 pm and at 7:30 will take on Molloy College.
