SYRACUSE, N.Y.-Pace tallied five goals in the fourth quarter as the Setters fell to #2 nationally ranked Dolphins of Le Moyne College 17-5. Pace falls to 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the NE-10 Conference, while Le Moyne remained undefeated at 13-0 overall and 8-0 in conference play.
John Kolesar (Warwick, NY/Warwick) (Warwick, NY/Warwick) finished with two goals for Pace while Matt Mirabito (Binghamton, NY/Broome CC) (Binghamton, NY/Broome CC), Thomas Earl (North Babylon, NY/St. Anthony's) (North Babylon, NY/St. Anthony's) and William Scioscia (Somerset, NJ/Immaculata) (Somerset, NJ/Immaculata) each added a goal apiece. Kevin Kadlick (Boston, MA/Catholic Memorial) (Boston, MA/Catholic Memorial) and Mirabito both tallied an assist. Kevin Grady (Medford, NY/Bellport) recorded nine saves in the game.
The Dolphins went up 11-0 by half with Chris Button netting four goals while Aaron Cahill and Nate Frechette both had two each. Cahill scored two more, with a total of three added in the third quarter to make the score 14-0.
Mirabito, Kolesar and Earl scored a quick three goals early in the fourth while Kolesar and Scioscia scored the last two for Pace as time ran up.
The Setters will host Merrimack on Sunday, April 22 at 3 pm where the seniors will be honored for their efforts throughout their Pace careers.
