RINDGE, N.H.- The Setters fell to the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University 2-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action. Pace drops to 5-8-3 on the season and 5-7-1 in the NE-10, while the Ravens improve to 9-5-2 and 8-5-1 in conference play.
The Ravens held the advantage on shots in the first half, 12-2, as they netted a pair of first half goals. Hannah Weagle got Franklin Pierce on the board as she scored in the 12th minute and assisted on the second goal. Talita Pereira scored in the 26th minute off a Weagle assist to give the Ravens a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The Setters were on the offensive in the second half as they held the shots in the second half 10-4. Pace broke through late in the game as Olivia Mapplethorpe (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) (Wilbraham, MA/Minnechaug Regional) scored off a Fatima Ba (Staten Island, NY/New Dorp/Monroe College) (Staten Island, NY/New Dorp/Monroe College) scored with 20 seconds left in the game.
Setter goalie Courtany Hagen (New Paltz, NY/New Paltz) recorded four saves in the contest.
The Setters are back in action on Wednesday, October 24 as they will travel to Syracuse, NY for a Northeast-10 Conference game against Le Moyne College at 3:30 pm.
