Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

WILLIAMS GIVES SETTERS A DOUBLE-DOUBLE PERFORMANCE IN LOSS TO LE MOYNE

Pleasantville, NY- The Pace University men's basketball team lost this evening to Ale Moyne College by a score of 69-50 in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup. The Setters fall to 10-15 overall, and 6-14 in conference play while the Dolphins improve to 11-13 overall, and 9-11 in the NE-10.

After a slow start, the Setters tied the game up at seven at the 16 minute mark. From there, a 16-6 run by the Dolphins would put them up by ten with a little over 11 minutes remaining in the opening half. As the Dolphins kept trying to extend their lead, the Setters kept bringing them back to within ten. A foul towards the end of the first half, followed by three made free throws would give Le Moyne a 12 point, 24-36 advantage at halftime.

The Setters came out strong at the start of the second half with an early 6-0 run to slice Le Moyne's lead in half. However, a 16-3 run by the Dolphins put the Setters in a hole they could not dig themselves out of, and would ultimately lead to the Pace loss.

Shinning for the Setters despite the loss was Keon Williams (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack/Iona College) (Hackensack, NJ/Iona College) who finished with a double of 12 points, and 13 rebounds. Delroy Daley (Bronx, NY/St. Raymond) also posted respectable numbers with 15 points, and five rebounds.

The Setters return to action Saturday, February 19th when they matchup against the University of New Haven in an NE-10 Conference battle at 3:30 pm at home in the Goldstein Fitness Center.
