PAVELS NETS 19 KILLS AS SETTERS DOWN PENMEN 3-1

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- Melanie Pavels (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South) (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South) led the Setters with 19 kills along with 10 digs as the Setters down the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire 3-1 (25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17) in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 17-8 overall and 7-4 in the NE-10, while the Penmen fall to 5-14, 3-9 in conference play.

Kelsi Root (Elmira Heights, NY/Thomas Edison) (Elmira Heights, NY/Thomas Edison) totaled nine kills and three blocks, while Nora Rugova (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) (Mt. Kisco, NY/Fox Lane) finished with nine kills and 10 digs. Tamilee Webb (Hartsdale, NY/Ardsley) (Hartsdale, NY/Ardsley) tallied nine kills, while Elyse Rowland (Antioch, CA/Deer Valley) (Antioch, CA/Deer Valley) netted 23 digs.

Senior Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) totaled 45 assists along with eight digs and two blocks. Hansen moved into second place all-time in Pace history in career assists with 3,870.

The Setters return to action on Saturday, October 29 against Northeast-10 Conference opponent Franklin Pierce University at the Goldstein Fitness Center at 11 am.
