MILLS REACHES 1,000-POINT BARRIER IN WIN OVER MERRIMACK

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.– Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) became the 31st player in school history to reach the 1000-point club with free throw at the 7:27 mark of the first half as the Setters defeated the Warriors of Merrimack College 77-64 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 10-8 overall and 6-7 in the NE-10, while the Warriors fall to 9-7 and 5-7 in conference play.

Merrimack jumped out at an early 12-9 with 15:30 left in the opening half. The Setters would rally with 17-4 to pull ahead 26-16 with 10:35 to go in the first half. Mills netted six points in the run, while David Eismeier (Burke, VA/Bishop O'Connell) (Burke, VA/Bishop O'Connell) and Ahmad George (Bowie, MD/Archbishop Carroll) (Bowie, MD/Archbishop Carroll) each hit a triple in the run. Pace would take a 45-36 lead in the break as Mills finished the half with 15 points.

The Setters would lead the entire second half as Merrimack could only get as close as five points early in the period. Pace kept the Warriors at bay as Keon Williams (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack/Iona College) (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack/Iona College) netted 10 of his 14 points in the final 20 minutes to give Pace their third consecutive win.

Mills lead Pace with 22 points to join the 1000-point club as a junior. Delroy Daley (Bronx, NY/St. Raymond) (Bronx, NY/St. Raymond) recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Williams tallied 14 points and nine boards. Denzel Primus-Devonish (Riverdale, MD/St. John's College HS) finished with 11 points, five boards and four assists.

The Setters return to action on Tuesday, January 25 when Pace will host UMass Lowell in a Northeast-10 Conference game against at 7:30 pm.
