SYRACUSE, NY - The Pace University men's basketball team won a Northeast-10 Conference matchup over Le Moyne College tonight 78-74. Pace improves their record to 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the NE-10, while Le Moyne College falls to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Setters got off to a slow start as they were outscored the first five minutes of the game 10-0. However, Pace would battle back and with 10 minutes to go in the first half they would go on a six point run to cut the deficit to two points. Unfortunately for the Setters, Le Moyne would again pull away and end the period up by nine with the score 41-32.
The second half would mimic the first as it favored the Dolphins early. At the halfway mark in the second period Pace was still down by eight points with the score 60-52. In the next two minutes Pace would close the deficit and take the lead 65-64 with five minutes to play in regulation. Le Moyne would answer back taking the lead once more however, for the last time. The Setters would end up pulling away and finishing up by four 78-74.
Shining for the Setters was Keon Williams (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack/Iona College) (Hackensack, NJ/Iona College) with 22 points and 15 total rebounds. Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) totaled 19 points, and Denzel Primus-Devonish (Riverdale, MD/St. John's College) recorded 14 points, six assists, and four total rebounds.
The Setters return to action Saturday, December 4th when they matchup against NE-10 Conference foe the New Haven Chargers in West Haven, CT at 1:30 pm.
