SETTERS DOWN LE MOYNE IN NE-10 MATCHUP

SYRACUSE, NY - The Pace University women's basketball team won a Northeast-10 Conference matchup over Le Moyne College tonight 69-48. Pace improves their undefeated record to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the NE-10, while Le Moyne College falls to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play.  

The Setters got off to a quick start as they scored the first five points of the game. However, Le Moyne would battle back to take the lead by one with the score 8-7. Fortunately for the Setters they would not allow the Dolphins to score another basket until the halfway mark in the first period going up 17-9. By the end of the first half Pace would be up as much as 13 with the score at 32-19.

The second half would mimic the first as it favored the Setters greatly. At the halfway mark in the second period Pace would improve their lead to 20 with the score at 52-32. The Setters would ultimately win the game by a 21 point margin.

Shining for Pace was Maral Javadifar (Flushing, NY/The Mary Louis Academy) (Flushing, NY/The Mary Louis Academy) with 16 points, Brittany Huggins (Windsor, CT/Windsor) (Windsor, CT/Windsor) with 13 points and seven rebounds, and  Kerri White (Flushing, NY/Archbishop Molloy) with 11 points and four total rebounds.

The Setters return to action Saturday, December 4th when they matchup against NE-10 Conference foe the New Haven Chargers in West Haven, CT at 3:30 pm.
