Pleasantville, NY- The Pace men's basketball team fell in an NE-10 Conference matchup to the Owls of Southern Connecticut State by a score of 82-66. With the loss, the Setters fall to 4-2 overall, and 0-2 in the Northeast-10, while the Owls improve to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the NE-10.
The Setters got off to a slow start falling behind early 18-3 at the 12 minute mark in the first half. Things would get a little better for the Setters as the half went on however, Pace would eventually end the first period down 38-29.
Unfortunately for Pace the second half would play out much like the first. The Setters would cut the Owl lead to nine at the 11 minute mark but that would be as close as Pace would come to staging a comeback. At the end of regulation Southern Connecticut State would win by a 16 point margin.
