SETTERS FAIL TO RALLY BACK AGAINST DOMINICAN
Game 1- Saint Michael's
77, Molloy 76
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Purple Knights of Saint Michael's College
defeated the Chargers of Molloy College by a 77-76 score after
making a free throw in the final seconds to kick off day two of
Pace's Holiday Classic. Saint Michael's improves to 5-5 overall on
the season, while Molloy falls to 4-8.
For the Purple Knights, Travis Warech netted a team-high 19
points along with collecting a team-high nine rebounds. Tyler
Schilling was also a solid performer for the Purple Knights,
scoring 18 points of his own and taking down eight boards.
For the Lions, Brian Hutchinson had a double-double scoring 17
points, and taking down 13 boards. The Lions also received a good
performance from Carl Palmer who netted a game-high 23 points.
Game 2- Dominican 56, Pace 55
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Pace University men's basketball failed
to rally back in a 56-55 loss to non-conference Dominican College
on Day 2 of the Pace University Holiday Classic. The Setters
improve to 6-5 overall, while the Chargers of Dominican fall to
6-6.
For the Setters, Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) (Woodbridge, VA/Paul
VI) netted a game-high 15 points (on 5-of-11 shooting),
along with four rebounds and three steals. Laurence McGhee (Linden, NJ/Linden)
(Linden, NJ/Linden) also had a solid game, by draining 10
points, and Erik Harris (Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway/Siena) (Swedesboro, NJ/Siena)
recorded a team-high ten rebounds.
For the Chargers, Almin Hodzic totaled a game-high 21 points,
and a game-high 15 rebounds.
The Setters return to action on Saturday, January 2 when Pace
will host the Greyhounds of Assumption College in a Northeast-10
Conference game at 3:30 pm at the Goldstein Fitness Center on
Pace's Pleasantville campus.
