Game 1- UMass Lowell 85, Mercy 41

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Riverhawks of UMass Lowell took complete control against the Mavericks of Mercy College, 85-41 in Day 2 of the Pace University Holiday Classic. The Riverhawks improve to 8-3 on the season, while the Mavericks fall to 0-11.

For UMass Lowell, Max Kerman provided a double-double effort to the Riverhawks, by totaling a game-high 19 points, and taking down 13 rebounds in the UMass Lowell win.

For Mercy, Michael Marin led the Mavericks in points by sinking 17 and in rebounds with seven. Orland Daniel helped Mercy out with a team-high four assists.


GAME 2- BLOOMFIELD 89, PACE 77

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Setters of Pace University struggled in a Day 2 defeat at the hands of Bloomfield College in the Pace University Holiday Classic's final game of the tournament. The Setters fall to 5-5 overall, while the Deacons improve to 6-5 overall.

The Setters were led by their pair of point guards on the day as Laurence McGhee (Linden, NJ/Linden) (Linden, NJ/Linden) finished with a team-high 24 points, a team-high nine assists, and three steals. Pace's backup point guard Carlos Howard (Fort Washington, MD/Gonzaga College High) (Fort Washington, MD/Gonzaga) also had a solid game netting 20 points, and dishing out five assists. Randy Wilson (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, and chipped in six points. Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) added 8 points, four rebounds, and two steals.

For Bloomfield, Omari Knox had a great game finishing with a game-high 28 points and nine rebounds, while Gage Daye added 15 points. Jeff Sawyer recorded a double-double as he pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds, and scored 12 points.   

The All-Tournament team was announced following the conclusion of the tournament. UMass Lowell's Max Kerman was named the tournament MVP as he finished the tournament with 33 points, and 24 rebounds.
