Box Score PACE FALLS TO AMERICAN
INTERNATIONAL 94-79
SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Pace men's basketball team's slow start
against American International proved costly as they fell to the
Yellow Jackets 94-79 in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters
drop to 3-3 on the season and 2-2 in the NE-10, while the Yellow
Jackets improve to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The Setters got off to a slow start in the opening half as they
failed to connect on a trifecta, going 0-for-15 in the half. On the
other hand, American International came out of the gates firing,
hitting 51.5% their shots on 17-for-33 shooting to pull ahead by as
much as 28 points and led at the break 43-17.
Pace found their shots in the second half, shooting 22-for-37 in
the final period, filling up the stat sheets for 62 second half
points. It was not enough as the Setters could not make a
significant cut into the big deficit. For the game, American
International held the edge in shooting percentage 47.8% to 39.2%
and also out-rebounding Pace 57-36.
For the Setters, Ryan Woods (Staten Island, NY/St. Peters Boys) (Staten Island, NY/St.
Peter's) totaled 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and
two steals. Adrian Mills (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI) (Woodbridge, VA/Paul VI)
tallied 15 points, four boards, two assists and two steals.
The Setters return to action on Saturday, December 6 when they
will take on the Dolphins of Le Moyne College in Northeast-10
Conference action at 1:30 pm. The game will be played at Pace's New
York City campus in lower Manhattan.
