Box Score MEN'S BASKETBALL CRUISES PAST SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE,

MANCHESTER, NH - The Pace University men's basketball team
defeated the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University, 82-66, in
a Northeast-10 Conference match-up held at the SNHU Fieldhouse. The
Setters had three players in double-digit scoring as they even
their overall record to 4-4 and 2-2 in the NE-10. The Penmen remain
winless as they fall to 0-4 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
The first half saw action from both teams as they traded baskets
for much of the contest. Pace scored the final seven points to take
a 39-31 lead into the break. Ryan Williams (Centreville, VA/Paul VI) (Centreville,
VA/Paul VI) once again led the Setters in scoring as he
dropped 11 of his game-high 24 points in the first half. He also
dished out a team-high six assists and grabbed eight rebounds on
the night. Williams ended the day shooting 10-for-18 from the
field, going 4-for-8 from beyond the arc. Desmond-Quincy
Jones (Rye, NY/Rye) added 10 of his 17 points in the first
frame, ending the day shooting 7-for-14 from the floor.
Oneil Morgan (Kingston, Jamaica/Excelsior) (Kingston, Jamaica/ Excelsior)
contributed scoring eight of his 10 points in the first half.
Morgan also added eight rebounds and three blocked shots.
The Setters took control of the game in the second half building
their lead by as much as 21, with the help of 29-12 run, which
started at the 15:28 mark and ended at the 7:07 mark. Williams
again led the scoring surge going for 13 points in the second
frame. Freshman Carlos Howard (Fort Washington, MD/Gonzaga College High) (Fort Washington, MD/Gonzaga
College High) scored all of his nine points in the second
half, shooting 3-for-10 from three for the game. Maurice
Douglas (Waldorf, MD/South Maryland Christian) also did
all of his scoring in the second half, dropping eight points.
Randy Wilson (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) (Peekskill, NY/Peekskill) contributed
with eight points, to go along with seven rebounds.
For the Penmen, K.J. Creamer had a team-high 18 points on
8-for-12 shooting, to go along with his team-high eight
rebounds. Paul Chergey added 14 points shooting 7-for-15 from
the floor, while dishing out a game-high seven assists.
Southern New Hampshire held the slim rebounding edge over Pace,
38-37.
The Setters return to action on Tuesday, December
5th, when they travel to Albany, NY to take on the
Golden Knights of The College of Saint Rose in a Northeast-10
Conference match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
