Tray Alexander

Tray Alexander joined the Pace University men’s basketball coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the 2025 season after a remarkable playing career as a Setter. A Freeport, NY native and graduate student at Pace’s Lubin School of Business majoring in Business, Alexander closed out his collegiate playing years in 2024-25 with one of the best seasons in program history.

In 2024-25 he was named NE10 Player of the Year—the first Pace men’s basketball player ever to earn the honor. He also garnered NABC and D2CCA Third Team All-American recognition, NE10 First Team honors, NE10 All-Defensive Team selection, D2CCA East Region Player of the Year, and MBWA D2 Player of the Year. He started all 32 games, leading the team with averages of 16.2 points per game, 8.7 assists per game (second nationally in Division II), and 2.9 steals per game.

A strong student-athlete, Alexander was honored on numerous academic fronts: NE10 Academic All-Conference, Academic Sport Excellence awards, Academic Honor Roll, and the Pace President’s Award for Academic Excellence.

As assistant coach, Tray brings leadership and a proven competitive mindset to help mentor and develop the next generation of Setters.
