Patrina Blow

Patrina Blow enters her 18th total season as a member of the Pace University women's basketball coaching staff in 2025. This is Blow's fourth tour with the women's basketball team at Pace since returning to the squad in 2024.
 
Blow has a rich history of coaching as an assistant women's basketball coach at six different institutions that span over a 25-year coaching career including stops at every level of competition. Virginia Wesleyan University (2022-2024), Pace University (1996-97; 2005-16; 2017-21; 2024-current), New York University (2016-17), University of Bridgeport (2004-05), Boston University (2000- 02) and Hofstra University (1997-2000).
 
During her time at Pace as an assistant coach, Blow has helped recruit and coach 14 Northeast-10 All Conference players, including eight 1,000-point scorers and one Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year (Brittany Shields 2009). The Setters qualified for 11 conference playoffs, made five NCAA tournament appearances (2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012). In 2010-2011, the Setters went to the NCAA East Regional Finals and ended with a sensational record of 24-9.
 
While as an assistant coach at the University of Bridgeport, UB saw the largest turnaround in NCAA Division II Women's Basketball history as the Purple Knights improved from 3-24 during the 2003- 2004 season to 22-9 and winning the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship in 2005 to advance to the NCAA
tournament.
 
As an assistant coach at Boston University, Blow helped recruit and coach eight America­ East All Conference players, assisting in recruiting the 2001 incoming class, which was ranked 24th best in the country by the All-Star Recruiting Report. In the same role at Hofstra University, Blow assisted with recruiting and coaching five America-East All Conference players.
 
Prior to her career in coaching, Blow played collegiately at St. John's University from 1989- 1993, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in fine arts. Blow sits sixth in career three­ point field goals made.
 
A former all-state player, Blow was inducted into her high school hall of fame in 1999, earning the honor at Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield, Connecticut.
 
Blow's responsibilities include recruitment of student-athletes, on-floor coaching, scouting of opponents, game preparation and academic advisement.
