Pace University Athletics

Liam Evans joined the Pace University Men’s Soccer coaching staff in the fall of 2026 following a decorated collegiate and USL League Two playing career, along with experience coaching at both the youth and pre-professional levels.

Most recently, Evans competed for Marist University at the NCAA Division I level, serving as team captain during the 2025 season while leading the team in minutes played. During the summer of 2025, he starred for the Hudson Valley Hammers in USL League Two and was named to the 2025 USL League Two Eastern Conference Team of the Year.
Prior to Marist, Evans played at Southern New Hampshire University, where he established himself as one of the top defenders in NCAA Division II. In 2024, he was named Southern New Hampshire University Male Athlete of the Year and earned Second Team All-America, First Team All-Region, NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-NE10, and NE10 All-Tournament Team honors.

Evans served as a two-year team captain at Southern New Hampshire in 2023 and 2024 and was selected as the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week seven times during his career.

In addition to his playing career, Evans has developed experience on the coaching side of the game. He has served as an assistant coach with the Hudson Valley Hammers USL League Two team, working with players at the pre-professional level. He also coaches in the Girls ECNL Regional League with Quickstrike FC and serves as the Youth Director for the Hudson Valley Hammers USL Youth program, where he is involved in player development and the growth of the club’s youth programming.

His experience competing at the NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and USL League Two levels brings a strong playing background and defensive perspective to the Pace coaching staff.
