Jake Amsler is a rising football coach with versatile experience across all three NCAA divisions, known for his deep knowledge of defensive schemes, special teams, and player development. Coach Amsler is coming to Pace University from Columbia University’s Ivy League Championship staff, where he has worked extensively in quality control roles assisting with defensive line, running backs, special teams, and recruiting. His work helped Columbia achieve national rankings, including the #1 pass defense and #2 scoring defense in the FCS.

Jake’s coaching career includes impactful stints at Lafayette College and Alfred State College, where his units led their conferences in key defensive categories and produced multiple all-conference players and even NFL signees. Beyond on-field coaching, Jake is highly proficient in video coordination, practice operations, recruiting logistics, social media/graphic design, and strength & conditioning support. He’s also played a major role in evaluating and recruiting talent from over a dozen U.S. states, consistently boosting program pipelines.

A former safety and long snapper at Juniata College, Jake brings an educator’s mindset with a BA in Secondary Education. He is adept with modern football technologies like HUDL, XOS, Pro Quick Draw, and PFF, making him an asset to any forward-thinking football staff.
