Gisselle Garcia SB 2025 Headshot

Gisselle Garcia

  • Title
    Graduate Assistant Coach
Gisselle Garcia, one of the most accomplished student-athletes in Pace University history, joined the Setters’ softball coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2025. A native of Lemon Grove, California, and a graduate of Dyson College of Arts & Sciences with a degree in criminal Justice/sociology, Garcia capped an extraordinary playing career that redefined the standard for excellence in the circle.

Garcia became the first player in program history to earn First-Team All-American honors, garnering recognition from both the D2CCA and NFCA. She was named the D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year, the NE10 Pitcher of the Year (2X), and earned CSC Academic All-American First-Team honors, exemplifying her rare blend of athletic dominance and academic achievement. Over the course of her career, she set numerous program and conference records, including becoming the first pitcher in NE10 history to surpass 1,000 career strikeouts.

Across four seasons, Garcia appeared in 151 games with 110 starts, compiling 81 wins, a 1.14 earned run average, 96 complete games, 46 shutouts, and 769.2 innings of work. She finished her career with 1,093 strikeouts, cementing her place among the greatest pitchers in Division II softball. Her senior campaign in 2025 was particularly historic, as she logged 257.1 innings across 46 appearances, tallying 400 strikeouts, 30 wins, 30 complete games, 21 shutouts, and six saves, leading Pace to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Championship.

Now transitioning into coaching, Garcia brings her elite pitching knowledge, leadership, and championship pedigree to the Setters’ staff, where she will mentor the next generation of Pace student-athletes.
