High School: New Paltz High School, New Paltz: Junior year at New Paltz: she was a part of the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) All-Star Team and Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star Team . Senior year: she served as captain, was selected to the MHAL All-Star Team, was elected Senior Class Most Athletic, and received the Senior Class Larry Johnson Award. Courtany also played basketball four-year starter, two-year captain (junior, senior year), scored 1,031 career points, was selected to the MHAL All-Star Team (junior, senior year), All Section IX Team (junior year), Daily Freeman All-Star Team (junior, senior year). Also played softball: four-year starter, captain (senior year), Daily Freeman All-Star Team (senior year), MHAL All-Star Team (senior year). Courtany was also a member of the All MHAL Academic Team and received the Business Education Award.
