Overview:
Shields is a unique skilled player with the ability to score in thepost and is also an incredible ball handler... She is a talentedand physical rebounder with the ability to pass out to theperimeter... Coach Seymour on Brittany, "Brittany is coming off ofone of the top freshman seasons in history of PaceBasketball.  She has established herself as one the toughestoffensive players in the conference.  Brittany has thestrength and toughness of a low post, coupled with the passing andball handling of a guard.  We will look to her to be a leaderon the floor this year."

2008-09:
Played in all 29 games, starting in 26...Finished first on the teamin points, rebounds, and field goal percentage, averaging 14.9points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game, and shooting 53.2 percentfrom the field respectively...Had her best game of season came in acome from behind win against Bloomfield, as she scored 32 points,grabbed nine rebounds, and was 14-17 from the free-throw line...WasNE-10 Freshman of the Year, ECAC Freshman of the Year, Named tothe  Division II Women's Basketball All-Met First Team, andNE-10 All-Rookie Team...In Northeast-10, she finished 11th inscoring, 4th rebounding, and 3rd in field goal percentage. 

At Haldane:
Led her team to the Class C New York State Championship in2007-08... Was named Class C State MVP... Scored 1,950 careerpoints and totaled 1,950 career rebounds, both are schoolrecords... 2007-08 Westchester County High School Player of theYear... Isa Bella Costa Award Winner.
