Building Supervisor Job Description
The primary function of the position is to supervise the over all operation of the Goldstein Health, Fitness, and Recreation Center. This includes but is not limited to monitoring building staff, membership registration, set-up and break-down of events, contact for vendors using facility, performing daily inspections, ensuring the security and safety of those utilizing the facility.
Responsibilities include: Attend training seminars. Knowing and enforcing the rules and regulations for each area of the Recreation Center. Every half-hour performing rounds, includes checking the safety and security of the facility and monitoring users activity. Perform emergency action plan when needed. Notify security if there are any problems during your shift or at the end of the night when securing the building. Be willing/ready to assist Athletic Staff when necessary. Consult the work schedules for the Front Desk, Weight Room, and Equipment Room to ensure all positions are covered. Field questions from the community, staff, and vendors.
Requirements: Excellent Communication Skills, Excellent Customer Service skills, Some Computer Skills, Ability to enforce rules and regulations, Strong Leader, CPR/AED Certified, Strong Organizational Skills.
