ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Keelah Chambliss delivered a 20-kill performance Saturday afternoon, but Pace University Volleyball was unable to overcome Molloy University in a 3-1 setback at Bob Houlihan Gymnasium. The loss moved the Setters to 4-5 on the season.

Molloy established the early advantage with a 25-16 victory in the opening set before the Setters pushed the second frame deep into extra points. The teams traded control throughout a set that featured 11 ties and eight lead changes, but Molloy eventually escaped with a 27-25 decision to take a 2-0 match lead.

Pace produced its best offensive stretch of the afternoon in the third. The Setters put down 15 kills with only four errors across 28 attacks, hitting .393 on their way to a 25-21 victory that extended the match. Molloy responded in the fourth, closing out the contest with a 25-21 win.

Chambliss powered the Blue and Gold attack with a match-high 20 kills while committing just three errors on 33 swings for a .515 hitting percentage. She also contributed four digs and two block assists. Paola Ortiz joined her in double figures with 10 kills and added seven digs and three block assists.

Aralyn Saulys handed out 26 assists to go along with five digs and two service aces, while Camila Rodriguez added 11 assists and nine digs. Alice Bender finished with a team-high 13 digs and two aces. As a team, Pace totaled 49 kills, 44 assists, 60 digs and six aces while hitting .185.

The Setters return to Goldstein Fitness Center on Tuesday, Sept. 22, when they host Queens College at 7:00 p.m.
