Valorant Gold Claims ECC Title, Qualifies for Commissioner’s Cup

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Pace University Esports VALORANT Gold capped off a dominant run through the Eastern Collegiate Conference (ECC) with a 3-1 grand finals victory over Utica University, securing the program's first conference championship and a berth in the Collegiate Esports Commissioner's Cup. The team completed a perfect 7-0 regular season before carrying that momentum into the postseason, earning the opportunity to represent Pace on the national stage in Waco, Texas from April 30 through May 4.

The Setters controlled the championship series from the outset, opening with a decisive 13-0 win on Pearl to set the tone. Utica responded with a narrow 13-11 victory on Bind, but Pace quickly regained control, closing out the match with back-to-back 13-6 wins on Lotus and Split to secure the title.

With the ECC championship secured, VALORANT Gold continues to build momentum across multiple competitions. The team advanced to the NECC Division II grand finals with a 2-0 sweep of Kennesaw State Gold and is set to face Winthrop University with the title on the line Monday night.

Pace also continued its strong showing in the New York Collegiate Esports Circuit (NYCEC), earning a 2-1 victory over Pace VALORANT White in a tightly contested series. The win advances VALORANT Gold to the NYCEC grand finals, where they will face Baruch White on Tuesday.

Across all competitions, the Setters have established themselves as one of the top-performing programs, highlighted by a perfect regular season and consistent top individual performances throughout league play.

Elsewhere, Pace Rocket League Gold fell to Arcadia University in the NECC Division VI semifinals and will compete in the third-place match on Wednesday against Lebanon Valley College. Pace Rainbow Six: Siege Gold dropped a 2-1 decision to Central Methodist University in the lower bracket semifinals but remains in contention for a national qualification spot.

Overall, Pace Esports continues to build momentum across all titles, led by VALORANT Gold's championship run and national qualification as the program prepares for its biggest stage yet.
