On Saturday, Pace University Softball delivered a dominant doubleheader sweep of Saint Michael's College, highlighted by head coach
Claudia Stabile earning her 900th career victory. The Blue and Gold rolled to a 10–0 win in five innings in the opener before securing a 3–1 victory in game two, improving to 9–3 overall and 2–0 in the Northeast 10 Conference.
Game One (5 innings)
Softball came out firing in the opener and never looked back. The Blue and Gold struck for three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run single from
Madison Picerno and an additional run coming across on a defensive miscue.
The offense exploded again in the second inning.
Riley Jenkins delivered an RBI double before
Willa Poplawski followed with a run-scoring double of her own. Moments later, Picerno launched a three-run home run to cap a five-run frame and extend the lead to 8–0.
Softball continued to add on in the third and fourth innings. Jenkins drove in another run, and
Katerina Luna lifted a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 10–0.
In the circle,
Alyssa Smart was dominant, tossing a complete-game shutout across five innings while allowing just four hits and striking out five to secure the milestone victory for Stabile.
Picerno led the offense with five RBIs, while Jenkins and Poplawski each recorded three hits in the 13-hit performance.
Game Two
The second game shifted into a tighter, more controlled contest as the Blue and Gold relied on timely hitting and strong pitching to complete the sweep.
Softball struck first in the opening inning when Poplawski doubled and later scored, giving the Setters a 1–0 lead. The Blue and Gold added another run in the third inning as Jenkins delivered an RBI single to extend the advantage to 2–0.
After Saint Michael's cut the deficit to 2–1 in the sixth inning, Softball responded immediately.

Faith Scally, pushing the lead to 3–1.
In the circle,
Priscilla Del Toro delivered a complete-game effort, allowing just one run on five hits while keeping Saint Michael's off balance throughout the afternoon to secure the win.
Poplawski led the offense with a three-hit performance, while Jenkins added two hits and an RBI as the Blue and Gold finished off the sweep. With two more wins secured, softball has now extended its win streak to seven games.

Claudia Stabile's 900th career victory marks a historic milestone for the Pace University Softball program, further cementing her legacy as one of the most accomplished and respected leaders in NCAA Division II softball. Over her tenure, Stabile has built the Blue and Gold into a perennial contender, highlighted by multiple Northeast 10 titles and national postseason appearances, while developing generations of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Softball returns to the field on Sunday for another doubleheader against Saint Michael's College, with first pitch scheduled for 11:00 a.m., followed by game two at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasantville.
