PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Announced by the conference Monday afternoon, Pace University freshman Ben Manuel was recognized for his strong play this past week, earning Northeast 10 Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week honors.
Manuel delivered consistent production across a pair of starts, averaging 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals while shooting an efficient 57 percent from the field. The freshman forward played an active role on both ends of the floor, contributing offensively while creating turnovers and disrupting opposing ball handlers.
He opened the week with a balanced effort at Southern Connecticut State, totaling 10 points, five rebounds, and four steals, showcasing his defensive instincts alongside steady scoring. Manuel followed with another solid performance in a win over Saint Anselm, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists, while also connecting on his lone three-point attempt of the week.
Across the two contests, Manuel shot 10-of-18 (.556) from the floor, continuing to show strong efficiency as his role within the Setters' rotation expands.
Manuel and the Setters jump back onto the court Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. as they battle the Panthers of Adelphi University at home.
