PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Saturday, Pace University Men's Basketball stayed within one possession at halftime before Southern New Hampshire University used a decisive second-half run to secure an 81–65 Northeast 10 victory. The Senior Day loss at the Goldstein Fitness Center moves the Setters to 15–10 overall and 10–7 in conference play with one contest remaining in the 2025-26 regular season.
Pace opened with energy and built an early 7–4 lead behind interior scoring from
Ben Manuel and defensive pressure that disrupted SNHU's rhythm.
Jabari Nurse extended the advantage midway through the first half, and the Setters carried a narrow 33–32 edge into the locker room after answering multiple Penmen pushes.
The game shifted early in the second half. After
Jaden Kealey cut the deficit to 37–35, SNHU responded with a 13–2 run that turned a one-possession game into a double-digit margin. Pace attempted to rally through Manuel and Nurse, trimming the deficit to 63–47, but each surge was met with a counter. An 8–0 SNHU stretch midway through the period pushed the lead beyond reach.
Manuel led Pace with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Nurse added 20 points.
The Setters close out the regular season Tuesday on the road at 7:30 p.m., with postseason play just around the corner.
