NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – Announced by the conference on Monday afternoon, Pace University freshman Anisa Akinola earned Northeast 10 Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week honors for the third time this year as she continues to make her mark for the Blue and Gold.

In their lone contest of the week, Akinola turned in another strong outing in Pace's road contest at Saint Thomas Aquinas College on January 2, scoring a game-high 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. She also went 5-of-6 from the free-throw line, while adding six rebounds and two steals in the effort.

The freshman forward has provided consistent production on both ends of the floor, pairing efficient scoring with physical play in the paint and active defense. Her continued recognition from the conference reflects the impact she has made for the Blue and Gold in just her first campaign.
